The Pisgah Civitan Mayoral Forum

The Pisgah Civitan Club hosted a mayoral Forum for all of the candidates running for Mayor in the upcoming August Election. In attendance were prominent community members including Brandy Arnold, Dwight Meeks, Leamon Smith, and Brian Roberts, each eager to present their vision for the future of Pisgah. Pam Miles, President of the Pisgah Civitan Club and a well-known figure in the community, masterfully led the event. She posed thoughtful questions to all of the candidates, encouraging them to share their views on pressing local issues that are important to the community, such as economic development, public safety, and infrastructure improvements. Light snacks, such as cookies, fruits, and refreshments, were provided for the guests that attended the event, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for discussion. There was a large turnout by the community, highlighting the public’s desire to learn the positions of each of the candidates and engage in meaningful discourse regarding the future of their town. It was standing room only as the room was full to capacity, reflecting the community's heightened interest in this election. The members of the community were particularly enthusiastic about learning what each of the candidates had to say, as they presented their platforms and answers to the pressing concerns raised during the forum. Each candidate had a well-prepared plan detailing what they might like to address as their primary need of the Town of Pisgah, thus ensuring that the audience left with a greater understanding of their options for the impending vote.
